2011-12 Netball Training resumes Wednesday 7th September
We start back at training on Wednesday 7th September 2011. Juniors have a "Come and play" session from 6-7.30pm for all junior club members and seniors have an open fitness session from 7.30-9pm which all senior club members can attend. The last hour (9-10pm) is a Team session.
For this season we have two new Head Coaches. Brenda Blanc will lead the Senior teams and Tash McIntosh will coach the Juniors. Together with the support of the Coaching Secretary, we will be able to offer high level qualified support to all teams.
This season we continue at our current venue which means the Juniors and Seniors now share a training night which is the best way forward. It means the Juniors can make the transition to Senior netball more smoothly and provides a great platform for our newly qualified coaches and umpires to develop their skills.
As always feedback is always welcome. These coaches invest a lot of time and effort in planning and running the sessions so it would be good to hear your views on how you are finding the training sessions.
Training
Minchenden Seniors train, once a week on Wednesday nights from 7.30- 9pm (10pm), at East Barnet School. Oakwood and Cockfosters Tube on the Piccadilly line runs nearby and with many bus routes too, the venue has good transport links. See below for full address and map.
Minchenden Juniors train, once a week on Wednesday nights (during term time), also at East Barnet School. We train from 6-7.30pm. You can join us from the age of nine (Year 5).

Coaches
Minchenden runs a coaching development programme for its club members which involves supporting their coaching qualifications in terms of mentoring, work placement opportunities and covering costs. Currently we are supporting one Level 3 coach, three Level 2 coaches and four Level 1 coaches
This season we have designated Coaches for all teams.
This means that all teams get an objective off-court and impartial viewpoint. It also means qualified Coaches get a chance to constantly build on their skills.
