Sport Makers   We have an exciting new volunteering programme launching in October 2011 called Sport Makers which aims to get 16+ volunteers volunteering for 10+ hours in settings where participants are aged 16 and over. More details about Sport Makers can be found by following this link _ _ _ _ _ Volunteer in Football – Wadham FC   Wadham FC are looking for two volunteers to assist their Head Coach (who has had over 30 years experience) with the running of an Under 7 and Under 9 teams for next season. They play in the Echo League on Sundays in mini soccer games. We also train on Wednesday evenings from 5-6pm or 6-7pm depending on the team.   Current volunteer positions available at the club include: · Coaching Assistant · Football Coach · Coaching assistant for training sessions   INTERESTED? If you are interested in volunteering please contact Paula Hudson on wadhamnews@aol.com / 07980 347772 _ _ _ _ _ Volunteer in Football – Haringey Borough Woman’s FC   The Haringey Borough woman’s team was formed at the start of season 1999/2000 and played only occasional "friendlies" in that first season. The club adopted the name of Haringey Borough following a merge with Mill Hill United and re-located to the Coles Park stadium of the Spartan South Midlands League club in White Hart Lane, Tottenham. The highlight of the 2010/11 season was a Women’s FA Cup win on a penalty shootout although elimination followed in the next round. The club are looking for passionate volunteers to help drive the club to success in the 2011/2012 season.   Current volunteer positions available at the club include: · Club Physiotherapist / Sports Massage · Fundraising Officer · Club Photographer   INTERESTED? If you are interested in volunteering please contact Karla Parker on haringeyboroughwfc@gmail.com / 07776153515 _ _ _ _ _ Haringey Celebrating Sports Awards – Nominations Needed   Haringey Leisure Services are delivering the 5th Haringey Celebrating Sports Awards evening, on Thursday 24th November at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club from 6.30pm to 9pm.   For the event to be a success we need your nominations.   The Awards will recognise and reward local people who contribute towards the sporting sector in Haringey. There will be 13 different awards in total; categories for the awards will include Coach of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to Sport.   For your nominations and to gain more information on the awards please go to www.haringey.gov.uk/celebratingsport .
